History teaching and multiculturalism: A report on a research project

Abstract
This study sought to: 1) develop, with a small group of teachers, suitable approaches to the teaching of history as a multicultural discipline, and explore relevant issues and possible solutions: and 2) identify relevant attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of this group of teachers, and explore the relationship between these and classroom practice and its outcomes, in order to seek explanations and examine their implications for teacher education.
