Abstract

The report forms part of the report of the committee on teacher training and teacher education for all levels and for all areas of the education system in Trinidad and Tobago. It deals with the philosophy and purpose of nursery education, and examines its local history and present stage of development, as well as its prospects in the context of continuing change and competing demand. Proposals for the preparation of nursery teachers are presented.
