Abstract

This study examined educational and occupational aspirations of secondary school students in Grenada following the 1983 American intervention. Questionnaire data from 729 students revealed that Grenadian students had exceptionally and unrealistically high aspirations. The opportunity structure in Grenada was found to be very limited compared to that in the United States
