Abstract
This paper discusses the strengths that exist in Caribbean agricultural education: The training of teachers, the development of appropriate agricultural education programmes, and the training of employable graduates. The improvement in the curriculum, teaching techniques, and facilities that prepare an individual for employment in agriculture are areas that continue to need further development. Employment in agriculture is dependent upon the type of education received, the opportunities that exist, and the attitudes of students and parents towards agriculture. The production sector has to be viable and attractive if the system is to work effectively
