Abstract
This paper focuses principally on school based assessment (SBA) I end of secondary school examinations. It recommends the use of an authentic assessment approach to this component of and examination which it claims will not only individualize a part of the curriculum, but will also focus on the application of knowledge to real world situations and therefore enhance the learning and testing process.
