Biennial Cross-Campus Conference on Education, 2nd, St. Augustine, Trinidad, 22-24 April, 1992
In this case study of teachers at Malick Secondary Comprehensive School, Trinidad, teachers comment in their own words on: 1) The Malick school and community, focusing particularly on values in the community as they diverge from those of the school; 2) socializing students to school; 3) constraints on teaching; and 4) changes in the school. Discussion is initiated on the significance of these sentiments to policy makers and researchers, as well as the issues the sentiments raise.
