The impact of an international professional organization on school librarianship in Jamaica

Abstract

This article analyses interviews with nine librarians in Jamaica concerning the influence of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL). It discusses the IASL's roles in fostering personal and professional growth, in highlighting the importance of the library to the educational process, and in developing school library policy
