Abstract
Drawing on illustrations from the Eastern Caribbean, this paper identifies the sources of trends in science education in the region. These trends include societal goals such as science education for national development, scientific literacy, and the quality of life. There is mention of the integration of science, out-of-school science, environmental education, and energy education. Some problems are identified
