Abstract
This article traces the development, diffusion, and implementation phases of the Caribbean Integrated Science Curriculum at the secondary level, and outlines some of the barriers to implementation. These are teacher reorientation, the lack of resources and facilities, an adequate innovation climate, and textbooks and reference materials
