The West Indies and Special Collections (WISC) of The UWI Mona Library aims to collect, preserve and organize material in support of the teaching and research programmes of The University of the West Indies Mona Campus.   • The Cassidy Collection comprises the literary, linguistic, and scholarly works of Frederic G. Cassidy, noted Jamaican linguist, lexicographer, and principal editor of the Dictionary of Jamaican English. The collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, research notes, field recordings, drafts of publications, and related documents that reflect Cassidy’s extensive work on Jamaican Creole (Patois), Caribbean linguistics, folklore, and cultural history.   • The P. J. Patterson Collection contains a rich body of materials documenting the public life, leadership, and contributions of the Most Honourable Percival James Patterson, former Prime Minister of Jamaica.
