This research aimed to study the intercultural aspects in the teaching-learning process of Portuguese as a Foreign Language in a non-immersive context. By the introduction of communicative tasks and by using the communicative approach, the meaning of culture was examined (MENDES, 2010) and which culture should be taught during the foreign language teaching-learning process (KRAMSCH, 2013). The results showed the intercultural perception taken by the learner during the execution of the cultural project, relating his own culture with others’, minimizing stereotyped ideas about the target language culture.
