C.I.E.D. Social Studies Curriculum

Abstract

This social studies curriculum guide for primary schools in the Cayman Islands is organized around skills that can turn young students into lifelong learners. It seeks to introduce, and give opportunities to students to use, a variety of skills, including map and globe skills, reading skills, thinking skills, communication skills, time skills, mathematical skills, and citizenship skills. The content is broken down into units, which, it is hoped, will offer more flexibility to the classroom teacher.
