dc.description
This article describes programmes for the preparation of educational leaders developed by the Faculty of Education, The University of the West Indies (UWI), during the periods 1952-1972 (the early years) and 1973-1988 (the later years). It also seeks to identify the positions of the students, where possible, to determine graduates' perceptions of the usefulness of the training programmes, especially at the B.Ed. level, and to suggest future directions for the faculty
