Abstract
This picture shows the Chamberlain Bridge in Barbados. Both people and boats are also part of this scene.
The Chamberlain or Swing Bridge was originally intended to swing on both sides. However when erected it was found that the two sides did not meet perfectly. So one side was taken down and replaced with a concrete structure. Taken from the book, "Barbados Yesterday & Today, No.1 – Parkinson’s Barbados."
