Quest for excellence: Quality standards for education in Trinidad and Tobago: A Ministry of Education Green Paper - First revision

Abstract

This is a manual of 26 standards intended to guide the administration and management of the education system in Trinidad and Tobago. After outlining a philosophical approach to education, the document is divided into five sections, each addressing one of the sub-environments that make up the education system: 1) The Macro-Economic and Social Environment, 2) The Regulatory Environment, 3) The Administrative Environment, 4) The School/Community Environment, and 5) The Instructional Environment. Each environment is guided by a set of standards that will be used to monitor, assess, and improve the respective processes within the system.
