dc.description
To ascertain the nature of mathematical concepts held by preschool children in Guyana, the School Assessment in Mathematics was constructed and administered to about 1,200 children entering Grade 1. The data obtained were used to produce the present version. The test is designed to measure the mathematical achievement of children in seven topics: numbers and operations, measurement, geometry, functions and graphs, sets, logic, and applications
