Universities in the third world: A select bibliography

Abstract

This bibliography does not attempt to be comprehensive. It is principally a listing of material in the library of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. The works which are held at the Library are identified by Library of Congress classification numbers. The bibliography is arranged broadly under the following topics, the role of the university, the university and the state, universities in developing countries, and the governance of universities. It includes monographs, articles in journals and dissertations.
