Association of Caribbean Higher Education Administrators (ACHEA) Inaugural Conference: The Plenaries: Promoting Best Practices in Higher Education Administration

Abstract

This publication contains the papers presented at the plenary sessions of the inaugural annual conference of the Association of Caribbean Higher Education Administrators (ACHEA). The papers cover a number of broad themes relevant to higher education, including: 1) the form and structure that higher education should take within the Caribbean region, 2) the practices that have emerged in the archipelagic context of the South Pacific, 3) the impact on and relevance of the virtual university to developing countries, and 4) how universities are coping with increasing litigation from students.
