dc.description
The data used in this study were derived from published and unpublished studies and from 13 responses to a questionnaire sent to ministries of education in 27 Commonwealth countries. The report examines the rationale and programme objectives of work experience programmes, and presents case studies in schools and off-school premises. The benefits of these programmes are discussed, as well as problems of organization, and suggestions are made for improving their cost effectiveness
