dc.description.abstractThis report suggests that early childhood education is the solution to grade repetition, overaged students, dropouts and low educational achievement. It provides an overview of early childhood care in education in Trinidad and Tobago and identifies the problems and factors contributing to school failure. Based on an analysis of the ECCE environment, a plan of action is provided, which identifies priorities and recommends strategies in the field of ECCE to improve equity and quality of early childhood development.en_US
