Abstract

The Commonwealth/UWI Associateship Scheme of Fellowships was introduced in 1974 in order to enable the School of Education, The University of the West Indies (UWI) to maintain and intensify its programme of professional development of teachers’ college tutors. Five tutors from teachers’ colleges in the Eastern Caribbean were attached to the School of Education for the period June 23 – September 21, 1974. They worked on specific planned professional experiences, activities, and tasks designed to develop their competencies as teacher trainers. This report of the programmes include 17 appendices, which provide details of all the activities undertaken.
