Abstract

Prime Minister Basdeo Panday tells Pan Trinbago that no money would be released until they provide proper accounts to the Government. Addressing the launch of the Carnival Institute at the Paddock in the Queen’s Park Savannah, Prime Minister Panday expressed his satisfaction that Pan Trinbago, the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO) and the National Carnival Bands Association (NCBA) were successfully transformed from State controlled to “management by the people”. The Prime Minister stated that “there will be no disbursement of public funds without accountability”.
