Abstract
This paper gives the background to the appointment of the Advisory Task Force on Education, and provides brief details of the following aspects of its work: 1) the consultative process employed; 2) its work programme, including an insight into the analytical process utilised and the guiding themes in all analytical activity, 3) the six research projects intended to generate data and critical insights; and 4) linkages with other regional and sub-regional activities.
