The Jamaican Prime Minister, Michael Manley, comments on Chief Anyaoku’s request and also the proposals of the West Indian Commission for Caribbean integration. Guyana’s Desmond Hoyte condemns the practice of the use of Haitian child labour on state-owned sugar plantations in the Dominican Republic. St. Vincent’s Prime Minister, James Mitchell, urges the Caribbean leaders to continue pushing towards a single Caricom market and lasting regional integration.
