Improving effectiveness of higher educational institutions: Studies of the management of change: Information base

Abstract

This Information Base has been collected for the purposes of analysis of trends in management practice in higher education. It is used not only by IIEP staff working in the research programme itself, but also for the IIEP Annual Training Programme and to inform researchers from developing countries who may be resident in the Institute for a short time as visitors or even collaborating in the IIEP research by writing case studies or training materials. The information was gathered during 1990 and 1991 and covers for the most part only publications issued during the most recent years, i.e. since 1987. The sources were journals, newspapers, books, direct correspondence, conferences and visitors.
