dc.description
The main objective of this project was the application of educational media for the expansion and improvement of teacher education and curriculum development at the 10-15 year level in the Caribbean. Use was made of closed circuit television and a series of audiovisual aids, and a central instructional materials production capability to support curriculum development was developed. Equipment for video tape recordings was issued to 20 teachers' colleges. The midway account (January 1974) of this regional project, involving 15 countries and supported by international agencies, relates its historical development, administration, and implementation phases. Some data on financial needs is provided but no cost effectiveness evaluation. Future alternatives of continued regional cooperation or concentration on local initiatives await the results of a formal evaluation process
