Online learning for Caribbean development: A framework for the next century

Abstract

This figure introduces the strategy of online learning as a framework for Caribbean development. It presents the vision and the concrete initiatives being undertaken within Jamaica and parts of the Caribbean to use web-based educational activities to leapfrog into the knowledge age, and thereby prepare the next phase of Jamaica’s social, economic, and human development, based on equity and prosperity.
