This document defines the Works Bank’s education strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean. Its preparation began with a workshop attended by educational experts from throughout the region. That workshop offered advice on Bank priorities with the Education sector and on the processes used in developing projects and carrying out studies. Those recommendations are incorporated in the document. It was hoped that the priorities and operating principles enunciated in the strategies would help to guide the development of country education strategies and Country Assistance Strategies with the Bank’s country counterparts.en_US
