dc.description.abstractThe report of the committee recommended that three types of grants be given: 1) basic grants-in-aid of the recurrent essential costs of each school; 2) maintenance grants related to the recurrent cost of maintaining equipment and expendable stores in laboratories, workshops, home economics, and commercial subject rooms; and 3) special grants, normally for capital expenditure and subject to a defined contribution from the school
