Abstract
The postcard shows a West Indian dish called pepperpot which is said to have orginated with the Amerindians. The dish is flavourful concoction made of meat , root vegetables and spices. The dish a popular in many parts of the Caribbean. The postcard shows a dish filled with peperpot and garnished with Carambola. On the side of the Pepperpot dish is a fried bake(bread), a slice of sweet bread (a quick bread with raisins and currents) and a salad consisting of tomatoes and carambola. Printed at the back of the postcard is a pepperpot recipe.
