Elementary education in early twentieth-century Jamaica

Abstract

This paper attempts to describe the provision and administration of primary education in early 20th century Jamaica, identifying the policy makers and the issues that claimed their attention, as well as highlighting some factors that influenced policy and the difficulties encountered in translating policy into practice
