| dc.description.abstract | This paper examines both traditional and new concepts of the University of the West Indies (UWI), and suggests that in order to face the future, certain choices will have to be made on a number of enigmas. An open college is proposed as an alternative method for meeting and increasing demand for higher education. The proposal includes recommendations for its structure and content to take care of those functions which are required of the university and which do not conveniently fall within the normal faculty structure. | en_US |
