A letter was sent to Governor Robert Harris by Chief Minister Hughes requesting that Anguilla’s House of Assembly be dissolved the day before the election. This angered Travel agents in St. Lucia, who joined counterparts in several Caribbean islands who boycotted American Airlines. The Cuban national carrier Cubana, had 2 crashes in Guatemala and Venezuela over a 4 day period in December killing 48 people. Cubana has had 4 fatal crashes in the past years (04:01-06:09)en_US

Anti-Castro activists in Miami exile communities plan to meet to decide on whether they should restore their civil disobedience campaign. The Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO) has been trying to resolve the disputes raised by Guyana against America’s telecommunications giant ATandT.
