dc.description
Although the main purpose of this workshop was to consider methods and means of textbook production, it began with the consideration of the processes of curriculum renewal. Much time was devoted to discussing ways and means of converting materials resulting from curriculum renewal exercises into textbooks and teaching materials. Various facets of book publishing were considered--editing, production, distribution, and marketing. Some of the factors inhibiting indigenous textbook production in the Caribbean were also examined. This volume contains the workshop recommendations, summaries of discussions, background papers, and addresses from the workshop
