This paper examines access to education, continuation rates, and the nature of programmes and curriculum in order to establish whether there is equality of educational opportunity for both sexes. It finds that although there is equal access for both sexes, the outcome of education is not the same for each; females excel in the primary and secondary grades, and the males seem to obtain greater success at the upper level of the educational pyramid.en_US
