| dc.description.abstract | This appears to be an antique postcard of people visiting the Pitch Lake. The ladies seem to be wearing long dark skirts to the ground and long sleeved white shirts. A few people are carrying umbrellas. The Pitch Lake might be mistaken for a field here. Water has settled in nooks on its surface, the largest one looks like a gully in the mid-ground and there are tufts of grass here and there. Trees on the horizon appear to be mature or virgin forest trees. | en |
