Abstract

This appears to be an antique postcard of people visiting the Pitch Lake. The ladies seem to be wearing long dark skirts to the ground and long sleeved white shirts. A few people are carrying umbrellas. The Pitch Lake might be mistaken for a field here. Water has settled in nooks on its surface, the largest one looks like a gully in the mid-ground and there are tufts of grass here and there. Trees on the horizon appear to be mature or virgin forest trees.
