2. The Premier of Nevis Vance Amory informed BBC Caribbean Report that the issue of secession still lingers and will form a component of his party’s election strategy. Denzil Douglas, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, mentioned that secession will not be a part of the elections March 3. Mr. Amory’s drive to separate from the Federation with St. Kitts was defeated in a referendum several years ago. (00:29-03:33)
3. In the Bahamas, a 33 year old man is being held in custody for circumstances surrounding the death of two policemen. The police suspect the man fleeing the scene of the incident could assist in the investigation. Bahamians are left questioning the integrity of the force and what actually happened in the patrol car.
