Postgraduate Diploma in Education: Health and Family Life Education (HFLE) Module: Sample Products from Class of 2001/2002

Abstract

The aim of this module is to: 1) develop teachers’ understanding of the historical and contextual antecedents of the CARICOM health and family life education (HFLE) project, 2) build their capacities to help students develop and master life skills through the HFLE curriculum, and 3) develop their competencies in the use of interactive methodologies that promote the life skills-based approach. The samples presented here are: 1) from a group activity on decision-making, 2) lesson plans from the various curriculum areas, and 3) documents for an HFLE workshop.
