Abstract
This paper discusses the social and pedagogical consequences of global change on Caribbean families and schools. It assumes that Caribbean teachers have the potential to be dynamic agents of change and, therefore, proposes a view of teachers and teaching that might better enable such teachers to fit their roles as change agents in Caribbean society
