School environment, teacher efficacy and performance in secondary schools in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

Abstract
This study suggests that school environment, more than such other variables of teacher development, social environment, and demographic characteristics, would influence teacher performance and efficacy. The sample used consisted of 266 academic and technical/vocational teachers in eight secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago. The study employed three types of analyses: Pearson-Product Moment correlational analysis, factor analysis, and a regression analysis. The results of the findings are discussed
