dc.description.abstractThis paper, which deals mostly with the countries of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)--Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines--is organized in three sections. The first section examines some of the regional literature that demonstrates concern for educational change that has relevance for social transformation. The second section critically presents some of the innovations intended to give expression to the ideological pronouncements cited in the first section. In the third section, certain educational needs in the OECS are identified
