Directory of training programmes in the allied health sciences in the Commonwealth Caribbean

Abstract

This directory is a guide to 33 training programmes and courses offered in institutions in Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago under the aegis of the PAHO/WHO Caribbean Regional Project. Information is provided on relevant aspects of programmes and/or courses including admission requirements, registration, conditions of study, examinations, and certification, as well as on national bodies responsible for the registration of para-medical personnel. It also includes a brief historical background to the development of the project and the regional centres.
