dc.description.abstractThis is a mission report on a literacy programme in Jamaica, with particular emphasis on various utilizations of the mass media. It describes the establishment of a printing workshop and training courses for literacy workers, including inservice teacher training. It also examines the possible role of micro-teaching in teacher educator training for literacy, and discusses the methodology of the programme and the importance of follow-up reading materials
