This is a report of the first three years (May 1982 - Dec. 1985) of the distance teaching experiment--UWIDITE, which linked the three campuses of The University of the West Indies (UWI) and the Extra-Mural Centres in Antigua, Dominica, and St. Lucia by telecommunications. It provides a description of UWIDITE, and discusses teaching methods, programmes, cost, future developments, and the response received
