Abstract
This analysis of education finance in Dominica documents the level of recurrent expenditure in the sector during the period 1984-1988, and relates this to total government spending and GDP indicators. It further examines average per student costs, and the relationship between enrolments and expenditure for the various levels and types of education. The analysis also identifies factors related to the cost-effectiveness of educational provision in the country and identifies areas of potential savings.
