    As Miss World 1975, Wilnellia Merced arrived in Trinidad she was introduced to the steelpan and received a rousing steelband welcome. Judith Darlin, who is a pan beater with the Gay Hoytonians Steel Orchestra tutored Miss World on the steel pan. An itinerary for Miss World was mentioned.
