    Panguard Honoured

    The Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, in partnership with Pan Trinbago held a gala function entitled "Honouring the Panguard" at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The honourees received salaries and commemorative plaques.

    Signature Awards for Pan Composers: Celebrating the Composers at the Exodus Pan Theatre

    Steelbands Receive Appearance Fees

    The assistant manager of the National Steelband, John Hoyte, received the appearance fees for steel bands which participated in the Pan On D' Move event, held as part of the City Week celebrations. The Mayor of San Fernando, Gerard Ferreira, presented 15 cheques, each in the sum of $1,500, to Hoyte at a simple function held at City Hall.

    Twelve Entries Received for Pan Innovation Contest

    There were 12 entries received for the first ever Rudolph Charles Pan Innovation Award and the winner will be announced during the finals of the Steelband Music Festival. The award is for the most useful and cost effective steelband invention and innovations related to the preparation and performance of music on the pan.
