It also reviews the development of a framework for the associate degree in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS): Antigua and Barbuda, The British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In addition, some important initiatives that should contribute to the long-term viability of the associate degree in the sub-region are identified and examined. The purpose of the development training component of the project was to improve the productivity and the efficiency of the work force in the participating private and public sector organizations. It was designed to provide professional management and vocational training in a number of areas. The review provides an overview of the project and provides snapshot profiles of some of the beneficiaries of both long term and long term training.
