Ifill is of the view, that the revenues from natural gas can be used to construct soundproof music rooms in schools. Ifill stated that some of the advantages of being musically literate are marketability in areas such as arranging and pan tutoring. The Board prepared a comprehensive report entitled "Pan Getting Organized for the New Millenium - A Strategic Pan". The Board agreed that there is a need to restructure the pan industry in order for Trinidad and Tobago's national instrument to become more marketable and realise its full potential. Brumant was contracted to teach summer steelpan classes in Japan as interest in Trinidad and Tobago's national instrument is growing there.Item Pan Trinbago May Give Up Panorama.(Newsday, 14-Sept-99) Nero, Sean; The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, Trinidad and TobagoA document entitled "Pan, Getting Organised for The New Millennium" has suggested that Pan Trinbago should not perform business development or undertake financial risk associated with staging major events. Instead, it proposes establishing a new special purpose Event Management and International Marketing Company to develop, manage and grow pan and TT events and products.
